Snowed In...In Lake Tahoe

Well, heres a bit of a throwback for ya. This is one the first trips my husband and I made together when we first started dating. Spur of the moment we had decided that we were going to take a road trip to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. At the time my husband drove this little  beat up Nissan that didn't even have a radio in it. Could you imagine driving 4 hours WITH NO RADIO. I would go simply mad I tell you! Anyways, needless to say we ended up taking my little 2006 Honda Civic. Going up it was absolutely beautiful. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Completely clear... Boy... did that all change over night.

We had gotten to Tahoe around 9:00 PM and we checked in to our hotel and got our car parked and what not. Then we went down because we were starving and decided we to go find some food. It was really cold and super windy. I told Josh I thought there might be a store coming in because of how windy it was. He didn't believe me.

HAHA! After we got back from having some dinner we decided to go park the car at the hotel and just walk around the differ hotels. Believe me when I tell you this... I was literally bundled up it was getting so windy that I literally was having a really hard time walking. (No I hadn't started drinking yet) Anyways, we had found a hotel that we liked gambling at and we got comfy... a few hours later we were ready to head back to the hotel. So we bundle back up and start walking back. We walk outside and its seriously like a blizzard outside. I wasn't really but it was damn close. You couldn't see two feet in front of you. I could hardly hear what Josh was saying... I just straight looked at him after we were standing outside in the storm... like "and you didn't think there was a storm coming". HAHA he was so wrong.

After falling on my ASS twice we finally made it back to the hotel. I was completely wind blown. My poor face was so chapped and almost burned it was ridiculous. I got cozy in my PJ's and got in to bed.

I woke up the next morning and looked out the window. Where our room was we could see directly down to are car. I looked out and found nothing but WHITE SNOW everywhere! I mean there was some there already but it wasn't nothing compared to what we had just gotten over night. I couldn't believe how much snow there was. Our car was seriously snowed in. We couldn't get in to it if we wanted too... We had one more night there... Josh said "just lets see if it melts off in the next few hours." I laughed... said "okay whatever.."

By the evening time Saturday... there was another store rolling in... YOU GOT IT! Even more snow... I woke up Sunday (the day we were supposed to be leaving) and said "Oh yah... that snow sure did melt." "NOT." I knew we were seriously snowed in.

So what you see on the trunk of the car is my keys and yes a flip flop! We were seriously so lucky because they had come and shoveled all the snow between the cars so people could get their cars out and what not. However, we still had to get all the snow off the top of the car. Thats what the flip flops came in handy for. This TOOK FOREVER!

So we check out of our hotel and we start to head home. As we are heading out we see a sign that says "Chains Needed." Rolls Eyes... my husband who thinks he's "KING THE SHIT" goes and buys chains for my car. Comes out and ttys to put them on. We must have seriously spent like 4 hours trying to get these freaking things on. So, now not only am I starving and cold... but the storm is coming in and it's starting to freaking rain... before you know it, the rain is turning to snow. Josh is literally on his hands and knee's in the wet rain/snow. He's cussing I am getting all kinds of frustrated. I kept telling him to ask someone. There were guys walking all up and down where we were parked asking if they could help and you just pay them like 20 bucks or something. I'm like pay the man so we can be on our damn way. Finally he gives in when I have reached melt down hour. I am screaming and having a damn fit in the middle of the parking lot. Literally every single person that walked out of the store could see me and hear me for that matter.

We get these blessed chains on the tires... But since we had literally just spent the last 4 hours in the rain... Our pants, socks and sweatshirts are SOKED. We are freezing! Right up the street there was a Kmart. He pulls in to the Kmart, we run in and pick up some new socks, a pair of comfy pants, and new sweatshirts and go back out to the car... Get changed... then we start our journey homeward. THANK GOD!

Low and behold, we start to head out of Lake Tahoe... and it probably wasn't even 10 minutes and there a freaking sign that the chain warnings had been lifted. I just sat there and cried... LOL it was a joke!

Snow trip just gone all BAD! So there you have it guys! Have you ever gone on a trip and from the very start to the very end just went all wrong? UHG! Well Tomorrow is Friday! Hope you all have a wonderful Weekend! ENJOY!

One of Our First...Throwback Thursday...

This throwback I have for you is very special to me. Not just because its with my beautiful husband but because of what this day brought to me.

This is one of the first few dates my husband and I took very early in our relationship. I don't even know if I want to say relationship because we were so newly dating. Anyways,Josh and I decided to go on a date to Santa Cruz. He said we were going to go and explore and do some hiking. I was all game. We bundled up because it was literally the middle of winter so you know it was going to be cold. So we bundled up and we were on our way.

Well Josh got the profound honor of finding out very early in our relationship that I DO NOT do well in the car for long periods of time. Especially if we we are going around lots of turns. Well he learned the hard way that day. Definitely had to pull over and get sick. So needless to say we started our date out on the wrong foot. Once we got to where we were going I felt a lot better. Once getting out of the car and having fresh air.

He took me to one of the most beautiful places in Santa Cruz. We went hiking all through all the red roods. It was awesome and the trees were beautiful. We started our hike and we found this huge that was hallowed out in the trunk. We stood in it which is where we took this goofy picture. One day I will never forget. I love the memories I have with this man. He's my hero and my main squeeze. :)

I have another one for you all... This is one for the books. I can't get enough of this picture. This is another throw back for you that I couldn't resist sharing for so many reasons.

First of all, this picture was taking at christmas 2010. This was our second christmas together. I guess you could say it was our first christmas together because we literally met the christmas prior. This was the start of our life together. This pictures has an enormous amount of memories because first of all... Christmas is everything to me. I love this holiday. So to be spending it with this hottie was a huge PLUS!

Second of all... I mean hello look at that little cutie bear right in the middle. Seriously... Can that little face get any cuter? Thats my Riley Bear. He's my pup!

Third of all... This is the first place Josh and my self ever lived at together as a couple. This was our first apartment. God, we hated that place. LOL There was always a problem with that place. I remember I had so many issues with my dryer in that place and then I ended up with walking pneumonia  because there was mold in my air conditioner vents. It was awful. I was so happy to be leaving from that place needless to say.

We were a little family then and we are a family now. We are trying to grow our little family with a little human baby now rather then fur babies but none the less Riley boy was our first little fur baby. We love him still today. He's getting to be an old pup but none the less he's just the best little dude in the whole wide world.

As for Josh... He's pretty freaking amazing as well! :) Well hope you guys enjoyed todays throwback. Enjoy your weekend!

Kauai Hawaii- Honeymoon Throwback

My husband and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary this October. It wasn't but a year ago that we were coming home on a jet plane from Kauai. This place is the most romantic most beautiful place I have ever been to. I have been to a few places but nothing as quite as beautiful as this place. We had such a blast and loved every second of it. We told my parents and his mom that we were never going to come back. LOL of course I would have gotten island bound and would have definitely gotten home sick and missed my family. Especially my little Riley man. We did so much and took so many pictures it was incredible.

However,I am going to call out my wonderful husband in all his glory in this one though. My husband and I decided that one of the "BIG" things that we were going to do was do a Catamaran ride. They call it a cruise its more like a speed boat race... But sure... yah a cruise. Anyways, I was petrified to get on this boat so I was more then prepared. I get really bad motion sickness as it is. I am horrible in the car. Like ritualistically every single time we drive to Reno or Lake Tahoe you can guarantee that you can find us pulled over at least twice on the side of the road with me heaving and hoeing. Again, this isn't about me this time... I am starting to drift off track here... So naturally the night before I was my typical prepared self and we went out and got me some Dramamine to help with any sickness I might have. The last thing I wanted to be was sick for 5 hours that I was on this "cruise".

So we get on this catamaran and the captain starts back the boat out of the dock area and we are off... At first it was really awesome. Then they let us get up and move about the boat while in motion... HAHA another funny joke! Anyways, we were doing really good for about the first forty five minutes in to the "cruise". All of a sudden Josh went up to the top of the boat and got some dramamine in my purse. You know I come prepared. Now, lets get real here... This boat is going so damn fast honestly NO ONE could move about the boat. I stayed in one spot and one spot only... my husband comes back down from getting the dramamine and sits down and tells me his stomach was upset. I am just thinking to my self oh crap... One of the guys working on the boat who was serving drinks (yes there was drinks and food) Don't ask how you eat on one of these... its near impossible! One of the guys serving asked him if he needed a bag. He said yes... Yup! You got it!

Let the upchucking' begin. Yah wow isn't that cave so beautiful. Oh wait... excuse the dude who continually is barfing off the side of the boat. For real though, all jokes set aside... It really wasn't that funny. I thought alright he will blow chunks once and he will be alright. For real he threw up the entire boat ride. I have honestly never felt so bad for him in my entire life. I don't think I have ever seen him throw up so much in my entire life either. He was so sick. This seriously took the fun out of the entire boat ride. Which sucked more, there were like 3 other people who also were blowing chunks right next to him. I was seriously sitting in their line of fire. It was all bad.

Finally the boat stopped for a bit because we got to sit and watch the sunset go down. While that was all going down the captain came down and asked where the dude was that couldn't stop throwing up was. He got ahold of my husband and the captain took this weird hose thing and squirted him from head to toe with cold as ICE water... Apparently, this is one of their tricks that they do to get people to stop being sea sick. They gave him a Mae Tae and told him to focus on only facing forward. He did that while shivering the entire way back to the dock. Thankfully, he did stop throwing up. However, neither one of us ate dinner on the boat. Needless to say dude was pretty freaking hungry when he got off the boat.

I just have have to say, it was a rough ride. It was brutal. I mean I wasn't even feeling sick because I took the meds like your supposed to 2 hours before. I could hardly stand up while the boat was in motion with out falling over. I had to hold on to railings and what not. Shoot, lets be real... I had to hold on to dear life even while I was sitting down. So to be able to hold a drink and a plate of dinner on this boat was near impossible. So, we skipped dinner and decided to get something else when we got off the boat. Needless to say... we won't be doing one of those catamaran rides again!

Well guys, hope you enjoyed today's throw back... To my husband Josh. I am sorry honey. I love you to the moon and back again. I had to share your horrifying story of this trip. LOL Love you bunches. Don't worry my trip to the ER while in Hawaii will get posted at some point too... :)

Best Friends Forever!!!

Here are are some throw back's for you. This right here is my BESTEST friend in the whole wide world NaShay. I met this pretty girl through a mutual friend of ours. I went to cosmetology school with our mutual friend and I was going through a pretty nasty break up at the time. I decided I was going to with our friend to her house to do NaShay's hair. This girl grabbed my heart the moment we shared the common ground of disliking peas. :) Though, this girl let me come with my friend and hang out with them while she got her hair done. She knew I was sad and my heart hear had been broken. She wanted to know exactly what this tool bag did to me.  I told her my story and she wanted to see the details of the matters which were on my myspace (yes I said myspace, thats how far we go back) page.

After heading back home I got a friend request on myspace from her. We hung out another time with our mutual friend together. After that, it was history. Our friendship blossomed in to something I never thought I would have.

NaShay has seen me through some really rough times through my life. She never left and always accepted me for who I was. We have had our share of ups and downs but no matter what we are the best of friends.

I was so honored to be asked to be her Maid of Honor in their beautiful wedding. My husband was also asked to be a groomsmen in their wedding as well. We were so excited to accept the honor and duties of this beautiful union of our best friends getting married.

Josh and I got engaged where they live and with them there to witness the whole thing. It was one of the most magical days of my life.  I knew no doubt that I had to ask NaShay to be my Matron Of Honor. She happily accepted of course. It was the best decision I had made probably during my entire preparation to my wedding.  Though having her stand right beside me as I said I DO to Josh... I wouldn't have had it any other way. Her handsome husband and beautiful son were there. I wouldn't have had it any other way. :)

This photo was from the night I got married. Such a fun night. One I would never forget! Although, we don't live near each other we talk nearly every day on Skype. What would we do with out our Skype dates. I am so thrilled that her and her family have decided to move back to California. We cannot wait to have them here . We are so excited!

This is seriously my FAVORITE picture of us. We were shopping and well being us. Goofy! I actually have this picture framed. Like I said before its one of my favorites of us. I honestly, don't know what I would do with out this girl. I couldn't have asked for a better best friend. She's always there for me and our friendship is so much more to me then just friends. We are sisters from another mister. :) Love you bunches NaShay! Thanks for being the best in the whole wide world!

Our Honey Moon in Kaua'i, Hawaii

Welcome to Paradise... We are going to take a trip to Kaua'i, Hawaii. One of the most beautiful places on the planet. It's unbelievable that this place is a part of the United States Of America. You honestly feel like you are in another land. It's unreal.  I have been to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and yes, it is beautiful there too but not like this. Kaua'i is incredible. It's the most tranquil place I have ever seen or been. The people are so different and trust worthy.

This was one of the most beautiful beaches in princeville. We had this whole section to our selves. We had to stop and take some photo's and enjoy the very super blue ocean.

This was a seriously awesome but kind of creepy cave we went in to in princeville. My husband loved this place. He could have stayed in there checking everything out in there... There actually was another cave with in this one and I wouldn't go down that far because it was hell of dark down there. I couldn't see two feet in front of me. So he did and told me it was really tight to get in to the other little cave with in it. We decided against it. Not that he could have convinced me to do that anyways.

While we were in Hawaii I got the profound honor of visiting the awesome Emergancy Room. I ended up with a nasty double ear infection. I had gotten some water in my ear and I am supper prone to getting swimmers ear. Well I thought thats what it was. However, once I had gotten off the plane in Hawaii I had my self a nice little head cold. Which led to a nice double ear infection. Luckily, I had an awesome doctor when I got in there and he got me in and out and I was back to enjoying my honeymoon in no time. I just had to be careful of getting water in my ears since I was on antibiotics.

Have I mentioned their sunsets? I mean this just looks like a picture from a post card. I honestly took this picture. Incredible huh! I couldn't get enough of the beautiful sunsets.

Yeah, this is my husband blowing chunks on our fun catamaran ride. I want to say this ride was AWEFUL and had I not taken motion sickness meds 2 hours before we had gotten on to this thing I would have been right next to him. My poor husband threw up all 5 hours of our ride on the water. It was seriously awful. Probably would never do that again. Poor Dude...

Although, our trip had some hiccups it was one we would never forget. It was one that we had a blast on and we can't wait to come back. Hopefully with out the barfing and the ear infection. HAHA! Hope you enjoyed our trip to paradise. Thank you for flying Beauty Marked Airlines we hope you fly again with us real soon! Enjoy!

My Main Squeeze Thursday

I would like to introduce you all to HUGE part of my life. This is my incredibly handsome husband. Goofy I know. This was him playing with my glasses. Silly pants!  Anyways this is my Joshie. He's absolutely my world. Josh and I started dating in December of 2008. I can honestly say this man makes my world complete.

Now, I am not saying all this mooshie Gooshie lovey dovey crap because he makes our life nothing but rainbows and cupcakes all the time. Definitely throws me my share of crap. Not like I don't either. LOL Im far from perfect and so is he. Which is why we are so perfect for each other. **hold on watching the season finale of Greys Anatomy*** **insert my tears here LOL**

How young we look LOL .. this was at my friends wedding in Lake Tahoe in 2009. :) We had such a blast at that wedding. At this point in our relationship we had no idea we would be husband and wife at some point. Before I met my husband I had just gotten out of a raunchy relationship with a man who was in the military. This led to my skepticism  when I first started dating Josh. It made things a little awkward at first but I had to do what I had to do . I wasn't going to let some jerk play me again.

I was in a car accident in 2009 which rendered me useless for a little over a year. I was badly injured. Teeth knocked out of my face, fractured arm, badly bruised all over my body and a horrible open wound on my side.  I called him and he was there to pick me up and take care of me right away. He rushed me to the emergency room where we spent the entire day and night there getting me checked out. He never left my side. I remember looking at him...Him holding my hand telling me he wasn't going to leave me and that he would take care of me. We went back to my parents house because we were right in the middle of moving out and decided that it would probably be best if I stayed there until we moved.  I know this was the pivotal moment in our relationship. Not only did he prove to me that he loved me and that he really wanted me but he also proved it to my father. I knew at this point this man was going to be my husband some day. I remember when I came home from the hospital I kept saying I wanted to take a shower because I thought I smelled like fire. (Mind you I was really hopped up on some major pain killers) That was exactly what I was saying though. I thought I smelled like fire. So Josh said well if you want to take a shower I don't think you should be in there alone. He thought that I might slip or fall or something because of the meds rendered me useless. So he asked my mom and said that maybe she could get in there with me and just stand there. She said she thought that I might be embarrassed to have her in there showering with me. (My thoughts- I didn't care who was in there with me at that moment I just wanted a damn shower LOL ) We also didn't want to disrespect my parents by the two of us showering together in their bathroom (which would have been easier for me to get in and out of since it was a stand up shower.) Both my parents agreed I might feel more comfortable with it being josh.

So I get in the shower... he's in there with me. I just stand there in the stream of the water. In a matter of seconds... I let out the most horrendous scream I ahve ever let out. As both my parents come busting through the bathroom door,  I am standing there and literally the water is going in to my wound and it just straight BURNS... I could HARDLY STAND IT.  I have never seen him feel so horrible in my life. My dad standing outside the door asking Josh if I was ok. I kept telling everyone to shut up. LOL  He knew it would be best if I tried to get the wound cleaned out. HOLY CRAP! Not the business!

So now we have been together for almost 7 years and still going strong. He's my best friend in the whole wide world. I couldn't have picked a better life partner then this awesome man right here. He fills in all the imperfections I have and I fill in his and we make our world complete. He's my angel! I feel like he was made just for me.

October 12, 2013 we finally TIED THE KNOT. My Mr. turned me in to his Mrs. We had the most beautiful winery wedding right in the middle of fall. It was absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't have asked for a better more perfect day! All our friends and family where there and we couldn't have asked for anything better then that. Our first dance wasn't perfect but it was amazing to me. Considering Josh DOES NOT DANCE. He did great!

After our wedding we got to enjoy our Honeymoon in Kaua'i Hawaii. The most perfect paradise you could ever imagine. We had a blast it was absolutely beautiful the entire time we were there. We left 2 weeks after our wedding. Came back home right in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It was perfect. We can't wait to go back and have another wonderful vacation there. It would be amazing.

To my beautiful Husband,

Thank you for being the most wonderful man I have ever met. Thank you for putting up with all my quirks and loving me for who I am with all my flaws and what not.  I love you more then you know and couldn't imagine my world with out you! Thank you for being the most amazing man and making a wonderful life with me. I know there is more to come and it won't always easy but doing anything with you by side I know we can get through anything. I love you to the moon and back. Thank you for marrying me and making me your wife. I love that you are my husband and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love you Joshie Pants. XXOO

Your Wife,
Nicole

Happy EARLY Mothers Day To My MAMA!

Baby Cole & Mommy (Me 4-5 Mo. Old)
First of all, Happy Mothers Day to THE best mom on the face of the planet. Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful mommies out there who love and support and give there best to their children!

I thought what better day like today on Throwback Thursday to honor my wonderful mother. With Mothers Day on Monday. I couldn't resist.

I got this beautiful woman to be my mama for life. We couldn't make more of the perfect Mommy Daughter match. Now, had you asked me this when I was 15 years old. I might have had a different answer for you. Our relationship hasn't always been balloons and rainbows so to speak. I guess you can say we fought like typical mother and daughter. Eventually, I grew out of that horrid awkward teenage stage.

Once I moved out, we became closer and closer. As I got older I realized that even when I was a teenager my mom was always the person I went to. Even when I knew the outcome wasn't going to be good.

The Fam
This woman, I have some of the best memories I own with her. And so much more to come. We have been through some tough times together as well but our awesome memories together far outweigh the bad. Their isn't anything that my mom wouldn't do for me. She's just the best!

One of the best Mom and Daughter moments I have had in a really long time.

This moment right here... I shared with my mom before I walked down the aisle. My mom is the reason I am the woman I am today. I got all my good and all my love for the people in my life from her. She has taught me how to be a grown woman. How to be a wife. How to cook. How to take care of a home. How to love. How to forgive even when I have had so much anger for someone or something. She's the whole reason. I can't wait for her to show me how to be the best kind of mommy to my own children. I know she will be right there to teach me all the things I don't know.

My mom has given me the best kind of life I could even imagine. I have been able to go to wonderful schools. I have gotten the best kind of education. I have grown up in a neighborhood that was safe and had wonderful neighbors whose children grew up being some of my closest friends. I was able to play sports and enjoy the finer things in life. All because she made it possible. I couldn't have asked for a better life.

Mom,

thank you for being the most wonderful and beautiful person I know. You are my best friend. Thank you for showing me how to be the best kind of person I know I can be. I know I haven't been perfect and I know that I have been flawed at times. Thanks for loving me anyways. Thanks for always being there for me and showing me the true meaning of a mothers love.I love and cherish all our special moments and memories we make together. I hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day! I love you to the moon and back and forevers and evers! I will always be your little girl! Hugs and Kisses XXOO

Love,
Your Daughter
Nicole

I couldn't be more blessed. Thank you so much for loving me but most of all thank you for raising the BEST man I know. Thank you for making a perfect man made just for me. You are the most selfless sweetest, most patient, and kindest person. You took on being a mother to a young little boy who wasn't yours to start with but still loved him as though he was no matter what. You gave him a place to call home and a mom to call his MOTHER. (Totally sounded like I got that out of a Hallmark card, PS I so didn't that was all me baby!)We love you so much! Happy Mothers Day!!!

The Hubbins' & His Mama!

I LOVE My Daddy!

Hey Everyone, first of all I would like to apologize for not getting Throwback Thursday blog up on time. I was so extremely tired yesterday that I literally fell asleep and that was all she wrote. I didn't sleep too good the night before so I was pretty spent the next day! So I promise today you will not only get your Throwback Thursday Blog but Fun Friday as well.

Today's Throwback is a picture of my Dad and I. My dad is one of my best friends in the whole wide world. Not only is he the first man in my life. He's my Hero. My dad is an Air Force Veteran. My dad is the best kind of man out there. Our bond is something I cherish and love.

Back in 2005 my dad became sick. We found out that he suffers from emphysema and COPD.  Most likely a repercussion of the war and him smoking. Seeing my dad hooked up to every machine there was known to man really made things set in. That I won't have him forever. Even though growing up I knew nothing could break my dad. Being an adult now I cherish every second and moment I can share with my dad, because I know there will be a day when all those seconds and special moments have to turn in to memories of him. I dread the day!

So since 2005, we have all had to learn how to live with my dad having COPD and Emphysema. It was a major adjustment for him and a huge life changer.

My dad is where all my attributes come from. He has the worst temper once he's been pushed to that point. Father like daughter. LOL We are both the type we have to really be pushed to that point, but when we are... GAME OVER! LOL

My dad, HATES HATES HATES when I wanna take selfies with him. He doesn't like having his picture taken.

Some of you may notice a scar right below his right eye that pretty much goes all the way around his cheek bone and across the top of his head. (That part you don't see because his hair covers it). However, when my dad was 18-19 years old he flew through the windshield in a car accident ripping up his face and literally ripped his entire eyebrow and eyelid OFF! Gross I know! Figured people would ask, so thought I would answer for you! :)

So I have had a ton of special moments with my dad but nothing compares to the one I am going to share with you right now.

October 12, 2013 my dad walked me down the aisle. I cried the whole way down. I knew this day was going to be the most beautiful day of my life. Marrying my best friend. There was a bitter sweet aspect of it too. There was a sense of not being my Daddy's little girl any more. Then he handed me over to Joshie (my now husband).

He knew I was struggling with this leading up to the wedding. He knew I had this worry. Then he whispered in my ear right before he put my hand in Josh's and said "You will always be my little girl no matter what." This melted my heart in ways you could never imagine. I have the most selfless man as a father. There have never been more powerful words and not to mention the most perfect words for the moment and current thoughts running through my mind.

This moment with him was hands down THE BEST. He never felt like he was losing me. He knew I would always need him. I knew that too! There are just some things you need your daddy for.  I am truly honored to call him mine! <3 Thanks for being the best dad in the whole world daddy! I love you "Fifty million trillions and more and over the rainbow and back again until skittles fall out." I am the luckiest girl in the whole world to have you as my dad!

**Disclaimer**- I am literally bawling my eyes out as I write this. In case any of you are wondering how I am typing this at the current moment. LOL That's how!

My Sweet Betina

Grandma's Judge Judy Birthday Party!

This is my sweet grandma! I lost my grandma about 3 years ago to breast cancer, stomach cancer and bone cancer. Something I don't wish on anyone. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her. My grandma and I were very close. She was a huge constant in my family's life. I saw her daily and spent tons of time with her. We celebrated every birthday, every event, and  every  holiday with this sweet angel. This is just one of the many birthday's we celebrated with her. Unfortunately, this was her last birthday that she was actually able to celebrate with us. She was actually sick in this picture but no one knew. We all had special Judge Judy shirts made because she loved that show so much. In this picture, are my two aunts and my mom and of course my grandma. I can't even find a place to start, my memories are endless and priceless of my grandma. When we lost my grandma it was like our family lost a piece of our world. It was really hard for a long time. Especially for my mom and my aunts.

Turkey Day with the Farkles
This was my grandma's last Thanksgiving that she was able to enjoy with the family. In this photo is my cousin Julie and myself. We loved our grandma. We were so disfunctionaly functional. LOL Grandma would call us all the "farkles" because of our awesome family life. :) There wasn't a family function that she wouldn't serenade us with her favorite songs. Good Times! One of the things that I am most Thankful for, is that my Grandma got to spend time getting to know my now husband. I am so thankful that the two of them got to know each other and spend some time together. My grandma was very loved by everyone. After she passed Josh and I got engaged about a year later. One of the hardest things was not having her at my wedding. Even though I know, in spirit, she saw the whole entire thing. She always told me "Just elope, save your self some money." I should have listened. Although my wedding was the most amazing day of my life and I got to marry my best friend in front of all of our favorite family and friends. When all was said and done... SHE WAS RIGHT! 3,59458595739308549374 $$$ later (not really) eloping would have saved some money. LOL PS I will NEVER get married again... I know that's the whole point of marriage, but NEVER AGAIN. No renewal of vows... NOTHING...LOL Anyways, getting off the topic. Our Wedding will be for another  throwback Thursday.

Riley & Betina
Oh Riley... That's my pup! He totally loved her and Grandma loved him too... She loved having him lay with her and snuggling her. Look how happy he looks. She was petting him! :) My one thing I will say to all of you is that you NEVER know when someone you love will be taken away from you. Please appreciate your family and love them. Spend as much time with them while you can and make as many priceless and wonderful memories as you can. I am such a lucky girl to have had such a wonderful grandma and such a wonderful family to be apart of.

Grandma, you are forever missed!
I love you!

In Loving Memory of
Betty!

Get to know me!

I decided to start my blog for the love of make- up,hair, and skin care. I am a self taught and

licensed cosmetologist. I went to school to learn all about hair and make-up. As I furthered my education in cosmetology my love for make-up became even stronger. I worked in salons doing hair but honestly my heart wasn't in it the way it was with make-up. I love doing make-up it is like therapy to me. read more...
