Favorite Highlights & Blushes

Happy Monday Guys! Does everyone have a case of the Monday blues??? Hopefully we can change that. I have a fun blog ready for us today :) So let's get this party started! Today I have decided to show you all some of my favorite go to highlights and blushes.

Mac Blushes

These are four of my go to blushes that I use all the time. Yes I have tons more blushes but these are the ones I reach for most of the time. These four are all from Mac. I do love Mac; however, I do use blushes from other companies as well.

Mac- Blush Baby

Starting with the first one being Blush Baby.  As you can see I use this one a lot! It is also not my first one of these blushes either. I love the way this blush looks on me when I don't have a decent tan. During the colder seasons this just adds some nice pink rosiness to my cheeks, since I tend be more pale in the colder seasons.

Mac- Melba

Melba is one of my more natural blushes I like to use. Especially when I am doing a more natural look. Just adds the perfect amount of color. Don't mind the weird center on the blush. I thought my blush brush was dry after I cleaned it and I went and dipped in to my blush a little too soon...The lesson here folks is don't use wet brushes in your blushes! (haha that rhymed)

Mac-Desert Rose

I love Desert Rose. I tend to reach for this blush more-so in the spring and summer time. I know you would think the complete opposite that you would want more lighter blush during the summer and darker for the winter. However, I think darker gives your skin more of a sun kissed look especially when you use a highlighter on top of it. Just love that sun kissed look.

Mac- Pink Swoon

This is one of those blushes that is great during any time of the year. This blush has a bit of glow behind it and looks great on sun kissed skin and olive skin tons. Then on the flip side of things this color looks amazing on fair skin tones as well. I love this blush on my mom. My mom is a blond with very fair skin. Looks beautiful on her. Just an amazing product. Me on the other hand I have olive skin ton and love this blush just the same. Just one of those well rounded blushes and definitely one that people should keep in their make-up kits.

Mac- Mineralized Skin Finish- Soft & Gentle

Okay, I would like to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mac's Mineralized Skin Finishes. These things have become a huge part of my Make-Up Kit. Such an awesome product. This gives such a pretty highlight on the cheek bone and along the upper portion of the cheek. I would also like to say that I have owned this Mineralized Skin Finish for over 2 years and I haven't even come close to hitting pan yet. They last forever! I just can't get enough of these. Seriously if you get a chance to purchase some
of these skin finishes you won't be disappointed. 

Hour Glass- Ambient Lighting Powder-Dim Light

I love the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders. They work so well. I wanted to get the 3 quad one of all 3 of the different Ambient Lighting Powders but when I was looking for them they were out of stock for a long time. They recently were put back out on sale at Sephora. I believe they are now going to be sold as part of their permanent line now. I will for sure be picking one up! Anywho, after I have used my foundation and concealer and powder; I will use my beauty blender (dry) and apply this under my eyes and on the balls of checks as well as along my cheek bones. This just gives you such a natural glow look without looking glittery? If that makes sense.

Sephora- Star Dust

OMG... I love the way this looks in the sunlight. So freaking pretty! This has the the prettiest gold color in it. It is not glittery it just gives such a pretty glow. I have heard on more than one occasion that Sephora's Star Dust is a dupe for Nars Orgasm. Just something to think about when purchasing if you don't want to spend as much money.
