Essential Oil Tip & DIY

Essential Oil Sunday brought you an awesome little tip and trick. While I was making my bath bombs I had a bunch of sea salt left over. I was trying to figure out what I could do with the rest of it.

I decided to make some sea salt scrubs. It was so simple and not to mention so relaxing to use.

I literally poured the rest of my salts in to a bowl with a bunch of olive oil to soak it completely... Then added peppermint and jared it. Took it in to the shower minutes later. So easy and so quick! Hope you enjoyed this!

Have an awesome day!

Easy Eye Brow Fix

Happy Friday Guys! Are you so glad its the weekend??? I am! I have an awesome brow trick for you today. Have you ever been in a rush and your like running out the door, get in your car and notice in the mirror "SHIT, I didn't do my eye brows." Did everything else but failed to brush out the brows and make them look pretty. Yah been there done all that. Well after I have slept all night my eye brows will go in every direction they choose. HIDEOUS really!

Think Quick... Think Quick...what do I have in my purse that will fix this HOT mess...

THATS RIGHT! LIP BALM... I know this is going to totally sound weird. It totally works though.

It doesn't have to be the EOS lip balm but it does have to be a clear lip balm. You don't want any lip balm that has a pigment to it. Imagine how funny that would look using a pink pigmented lip balm on your eye brows. LOL

So all you need to do is take a little bit of the lip balm on the tip of your finger and run it over your eye brow. This just helps with all the wacky little hairs go in all the same direction. It's kind of like the wax they use in all the fancy schmancy (just made that word up)eye brow kits these days. But now since you have your handy dandy lip balm, you don't have to worry about your eye brows looking like a HOT mess! GO TEAM!

You just never know when you are going to need your lip balm for more then just your lips. Who knew!!! I love this trick! I thought it was pretty ingenious if I do say so my self.

Also, have I mentioned my slight obsession with EOS lip balm. Every single time I find a new color of these, I have to try it. It's quite sickening.

These are the two of the one's I had laying around by me... but I have like 4 more of them in other various colors and they all have different flavors as well...MMM so good! :)

Well everyone... hope you try this new trick because it works wonders. Please leave me comments below with some of your favorite tips and tricks.

Happy Friday!

Coconut Oil Tip & Trick

What You Can Do With Coconut Oil

Something you probably didn't know... and you probably have it right there in your kitchen. If you don't thats alright... this oil doesn't cost much. I pick mine up at my local Whole Foods, Trader Joes or Sprouts. Im sure even regular grocery stores sell it too.

Coconut Oil is one of the best oils for so many things... but one of the tips and tricks I am going to tell you about is how to condition your hair & cuticles.

About 2 times a month I will literally take some coconut oil out of the jar and use it as a deep conditioner for my hair. This leaves my hair completely silky and soft. Now, you have to make sure you really get this out of your hair. I do not recommend using a lot. A little goes along way. I also do not recommend putting this on the top of your scalp. As it could make your hair a bit greasy if you have naturally oily hair. If your hair is on the dryer side all over then knock your self out, put it all over then. I tend to get more oily on top so I avoid that area and only use the coconut oil through the bottoms of my hair. I will tell you this, it leaves your hair feeling like bran new and silky smooth! You will never use another deep hair conditioner after you discover Coconut Oil.

I also love to use coconut oil after my mani's and pedi's. I rub a little around my cuticles and around my finger tips. I also use it on the bottoms of my feet and around my toooties (AKA my toes, my mom used to call our toes tooties when I was a kid) Especially in the colder seasons my hands tend to get a bit dryer and during the warmer seasons when I wear sandals more often. This helps my skin stay soft so that they won't crack. Those cracks on your feet and fingers are NOT the business... THEY HURT!

Well, go get your self some Coconut Oil and try some of these tricks out. You won't be disappointed!

Nail & Toes Tag

Hey Guys, thought I would bring you the nails and toes tag. I didn't really have anything planned for this Tips & Toes Tuesday because I was traveling back to California. So thought this would be fun and easy to accomplish on Tuesday while driving. "So lets make it do what it do".

1. What color would you never paint your nails?
I would paint my nails every color probably except maybe brown. Thats kind of a poopy color... LOL
2. What do you think is the best nail polish color for summer?
I love neons for summer time. Pinks and Organs and Yellow. Those are all fun bright summer colors. TEAL ALWAYS TEAL too!
3. Have you ever worn stick-on nails?
Of course, I begged to have my nails done starting when I was super young. My mom would never let me have acrylic but I would totally buy me the stick on ones from the store. She would always buy them for me as a fun treat.
4. Have you ever gotten tips?
I have gotten tips before. I recently actually stopped getting them because they were ruining my nails. I had to stop and just let my nails be for a while. So I get the shellac or do my jamberry wraps instead. :)
5. French manicure: cute or gross?
Cute, I think its super clean and very classy. Its what I had done when I got married. Can't go wrong!
6. How often do you get pedicures?
Probably once a month. I have to get them done because my nail lady prevents my toes from getting ingrown and if I go over two months... They start to happen... Let me tell you the the pain is not fun!
7. Are your toes painted right now? If so, what color?
Yes, they are painted right now. They are painted in rainbow colors and they have white polkadots on every toe.
8. Do you ever wear fake nails?
No, I don't currently wear fake nails. I had them when I got married in October but I am trying to give my nails a little bit of a breather and let them heal and get strong again. Acrylics just ruin your nails.
9. Do you ever match your nail polish to your outfit?
Yes, If I am going to a special event I will make both my nails and toes match my outfit in some way.
10. Do you think it’s weird when guys get manicures?
Absolutely not. I think its awesome that men take pride in their selves. Especially your nails and toes. Wish my husband would go with me to get a pedicure. He won't do it because he thinks its for girls LOL.
11. What’s cooler: leopard print nails or panda nails?
I would probably do panda nails. I don't know.. honestly thats really hard because I would probably honestly do them both. HAHA!!!
12. How much nail polish do you own?
A lot, I have a bunch of nail polishes and gel nail polish as well.
13. What’s the most money you would spend on nail polish?
I would probably spend no more then 20 dollars on a nail polish. I think that its quite ridiculous to pay more then that on a nail polish. But who knows.

Jamberry

So recently I joined on with Jamberry Nails. I have been using their products for a few months now and was introduced to them by one of my friends. These nail wraps are awesome. I used to get my nails done with acrylic and the shellac and I just find these to be so much better. Although you can still use these nail wraps on both your acrylics or shellac. They have so many different cute designs you can choose from. They are super easy to apply and when you're done putting them on, you don't have to sit and wait for them to dry and there is no worry of smudging your nails and having to redo them. These are great for the on the go mama's who don't have much time to deal with nails but yet want something cute at the same time. :) What's even more awesome is they have "Mommy and Me" matching nails for the little ones that match mommy's nails. They are so fun. They also sell "Junior" size nail wraps for the little ones!

Jamberry Nail Wrap- Speckled

Finally, guys this is what I decided to choose for my nails tonight. I couldn't choose between the two so I did them both. The grey with polka dots have been discontinued and the pink and purple chevron ones can be found under the name "Lollipop Chevron". I think I might have mentioned this before in some of my previous blogs but for the next 9 weeks I am going to be having some form of pink on my fingers and toes. My aunt is battling breast cancer and I am doing this in her honor. She's a trooper and is doing fantastic through all of this. :)

However, if you think that you will enjoy these nail wraps as much as I have please go to my "shop" and click on "Jamberry Nails" up at the top and it will take you directly to my website where you can purchase any of these awesome wraps. Jamberry, always does a buy 3 get the 4th one free. Each wrap costs 15.00 US Dollars.

Also for those of you looking for something awesome to pamper your mommies with this is the time to check out the website because we have these cute Mother's Day sets. They are amazing and they are only being sold for a limited amount of time. So check 'em out.

St. Patricks Day Make-up and Nails

Kiss Me I'm Irish-Target

St. Patricks Day Make-Up

Hey Guys! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Hope you all decided to wear your green today! For those of you curious -  no, I am not Irish! I'm actually Portuguese and my husband is Mexican and German. We both like beer though! LOL. Anyways, today's choice of make-up was inspired by St. Patty's Day! I decided to go with green and gold on the lid and blended with a red orange color in the crease. For the lips I decided to go on the more subtle side with a more nude lip gloss. (For those of you interested in what exactly I used on my face I will leave a list of the products at the end of the blog.)

Lucky Nails!

For my nails I decided to go with my adorable Jamberry nail wraps this week. Those of you wondering what these are; they are nail stickers of the sort. Instead of painting your nails these babies you stick on your nail much like a sticker and they last about the same amount of time as Shellac nails, without the damaging of your nails. You can find these nail wraps on Jamberry.net and the name of these wraps are called "Streak of Luck." They have a bunch more too!

Corn Beef & Cabbage

I know, I know what you all are already thinking... This is supposed to be a beauty blog. I thought I would just share what we had for dinner since it turned out SO good! We had the traditional St. Patrick's Day dinner - corn beef and cabbage with a side of roasted potatoes, carrots, and onions. I cooked the corn beef in the crock pot with a Guinness. Turned out amazing! Definitely, was a hit with the hubbins.

Well Guys, I hope your St. Patrick's Day was amazing! Hugs and Pinches for those of you who forgot your green today! :)
